What is the best way to send discs to you by post for repair?
recommend using card CD / DVD mailers designed for the purpose of
sending discs in the post. If any other envelope or packaging is
used then this must be re-enforced with rigid cardboard and all
items must be enclosed within 2cm padding material. The most
common cause of breakage while in transit is from discs snapping or
cracking when sent in paper envelopes or padded envelopes.
padded mail bags/envelopes protect some contents, enclosing discs
only, loose in a padded envelope does not offer any protection from discs snapping....and
they almost always end up in two or more pieces.
sized paper envelopes with no cardboard stiffening are almost
guaranteed to result in broken, cracked and warped discs
